June 7th- Finding the Right Mentor

If we did not grow up with the right Mentors, we can choose from many books or writings of others who have left their wisdom on how to do life :) There are many biographies that great mentors have written to share with others.

It does not matter if I did not learn in childhood how to "do" life.

The things that come to mind, are managing money, how to discern a person's character, to back off of people that do not serve me well. My example of course is the many things that people have done that I did not like or agree with, but I ignored them thinking they would or could change. I did not know that keeping things clean and organized would benefit me, that studying or doing the homework would help me, that being defiant of "rules" that would have served me, all of this was creating a life I did not want.

I did not know how to love or to just be myself. I always felt that I did not belong. I was shy and did not know how to be with people, I felt judged and I behaved in a way to "show" that it did not matter to me, the rules others made and followed, that I could be different. I wanted to be different in a way that drew people to me though. I wanted people to like me, but I did not like myself. I needed someone to show me how to like/love myself.

What to do about it?

Study now, on how to just be me. I do not have to prove anything. Seek the guidance to let go of all of the things that really do not serve me.

Just be me
